Tottenham Hotspur take on Manchester United as the resumed 2019/20 Premier League season continues on Friday night.

Marcus Rashford’s busy week making the difference off the pitch was almost complimented with a decisive impact on it with Hugo Lloris denying the England striker from close range. But after seizing the initiative in the match, Spurs broke with real pace and Steven Bergwijn gave the hosts the lead with a fine dribble capped off by a powerful strike that ricocheted off David De Gea and into the back of the net.

Kick off: Man Utd start the game, they win a throw in on the right wing before Bergwijn wins a free kick for Spurs.

A round of applause from the players, officials and staff precedes the kick off. A sign of respect to the victims and families of those affected by Covid-19.

Everyone then takes a knee, in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. The images of this are so important to raising awareness of the issue around the world.

The Tottenham Hotspur stadium seems to be made for social distancing. The teams have three different entrances to come out on to the pitch.

This is due to the stadium being planned to accommodate the enormous teams of the NFL.

The teams come out on to the pitch using their own tunnel, Black Lives Matter across the back of the playing shirts.

Here we go.

Man Utd went into lockdown on the back of an 11-game unbeaten run. David De Gea has conceded once in the last six games.

Will that form continue?

Marcus Rashford is very much the man of the moment. He sent an open letter to the government to ask them to reverse their decision to cancel free school meals for children over the summer.

His campaign gained a lot of traction over social media, and beyond, eventually convincing number 10 to make the U-turn.

The scheme will benefit around 1.3 million children in England.

Well played Marcus.

Harry Kane makes his return to the pitch for Spurs. It’s been an even longer wait for the England captain who last featured for Tottenham on New Year’s Day.

He suffered a serious hamstring injury that required surgery. Before his injury he was in good form, socring four goals in five games, will he continue that tonight?

Norwich remain rooted at the bottom of the Premier League with Southampton moving up to 13th. Our focus moves now to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium where Spurs are set to take on Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given his thoughts on Man U’s man of the moment, Marcus Rashford, and rthe returning Paul Pogba. He said:

“When you are happy outside football, you will be happy on the pitch.

“Marcus Rashford is a fine human being, a fine young man and we will see the best from him.

“Paul Pogba is one of the best players in the world and he has been training hard, training well but I need to make sure I look after everyone. We have the Europa League, FA Cup and Paul will gradually play more and a vital part.”

Norwich 0 – 3 Southampton

90+4 mins: Three points for Southampton. Three very good finishes put paid to Norwich’s feeble resistance. The Saints are probably safe, they’re 10 points clear of the relegation places and look likely to improve on that.

It’s a different story for Norwich, they showed no fight, no urgency, no desire to succeed tonight. Daniel Farke wanted five wins from the last nine games. He now needs five wins from the last eight. I can’t see it happening.

Norwich 0 – 3 Southampton

90 mins: Josh Martin makes an appearence for Norwich. He takes the place of Drmic up top. Four more minutes of agony for Norwich to play through.
